NSW Shorthorn Youth had a successful trip to this years' SA Junior Heifer Expo.
Being pipped at the post for the major award was Carla Wiese-Smith, North Richmond, who took out the title of reserve senior champion herdsman.
She was also awarded the senior marketing title and third in the senior handlers class.
Steph Frankham, Tamworth, didn't leave many awards alone in the intermediate section, winning the intermediate champion handler, intermediate junior judge and bay leader award.
She was also runner up in the intermediate section's NAB Agribusiness education scholarship.
Elyse Burton, Dubbo, was third in the intermediate scholarship, and also received a third in her intermediate handlers class.
Nicole Neilsen, Kandos, received a merit in her sub-intermediate handler class, as did
It wasn't just the NSW handlers which did well though.
Four heifers trucked 12 hours by the Nero and Eselar Park Shorthorn studs, Condobolin, rounded out a successful trip.
Nero Lock Victoria D089, paraded by Steph Frankham, was awarded the junior champion heifer title ahead of some stiff competition.
Meanwhile, Eselar Park Lock Honour D050, exhibited by Carla Wiese-Smith, placed second in its junior class, with Nero Lock Belle D078, exhibited by Elyse Burton, awarded a merit in the same class.
